We should all be proud of being part of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. It is perhaps the only institution which was started with the blessings of the father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and some of the most revered leaders of our Country who fought for the freedom of our Country. The object of starting this institution is to preserve Indian culture and art through education from a secular perspective. Kulapati Dr. K.M.Munshi, the founder himself was a freedom fighter, a lawyer, creative writer, organisation builder and a champion of Indian culture. He also played an important role in framing the Constitution of India. Today Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan has around 90 Kendras/Units in India and eight Centres abroad. Lakhs of students are studying in the schools established by Bhavan all over India and abroad. We are deeply rooted in our tradition and yet modern in our outlook.
Our Coimbatore Kendra has made admirable progress under the able guidance of Dr. B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar. One more Matriculation school was established at Ajjanur besides a CBSC school under his stewardship. We are proud of our students who have acquired deep knowledge in their subjects with a sound understanding of our culture and heritage. We are thankful to the teachers and the Principal for providing value based education to the students, so as to make them persons of sterling character with a patriotic fervour. We are confident that our students will make use of the opportunities provided to them by our school and be ready to face the challenges of life and play a vital part in the progress of this great Nation. We are thankful to the parents for the confidence reposed by them in the Management. Dr. B.K.Krishnaraj Vanavarayar will henceforth function as ‘Chairman Emeritus’ and we will continue to have his guidance. I am confident that with the support of my colleagues in the committee, we will strive hard to run the schools strictly in accordance with the objects for which BHAVAN was established. I invoke the blessings of the Almighty for success in all our endeavours.
